Standard 3.2.2A – Food safety management tools introduces new requirements for all food service and catering businesses that handle unpackaged, ready-to-eat, and potentially hazardous foods.
This course covers the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to use personal hygiene practices to prevent contamination of food that might cause food-borne illnesses and the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to handle food safely during the storage, preparation, display, service and disposal of food. It requires the ability to follow predetermined procedures as outlined in a food safety program.
All food businesses in Australia must still comply with all requirements including having a food safety supervisor (FSS) on site. This must be a person who has formal certification as a FSS, obtained in the past 5 years.
Private courses can be booked for a group of participants where the AIOH Trainer comes to your location or sessions can be held at our head office on Pirie Street for groups and individuals.
Participants complete theory via student online portal prior to attending a face to face training session.
